DESCRIPTION
Natasan™ is a perfect food antifungal coating by minimizing the natamycin crystal size linked through Chitosan to form a transparent, ultra-thin coating, which is suitable for the treatment of fungal rot on the surface of postharvest fruits and vegetables.

REGULATIONS
The US EPA has proposed the approval of natamycin for the control of the fungal diseases of some postharvest fruits and mushroom during transport and storage.

It is recommended to use it after ensuring compliance with your local regulations.
Black rot is caused by the fungus Diplodia seriata (syn Botryosphaeria obtusa) and it could infect a wide variety of fruits. Control of black rot is achieved by minimizing mechanical injury to the fruit coupled with appropriate fungicides. Natasan™ has also shown similar effects for fungus F.Semitectum.
 
PINEAPPLE COATING
Dipping pineapple with 0.4g/kg of Natasan™ for 10 seconds within 5 hours after harvest and stored at 7°C can minimize black rotting to maintain good fruit quality during 15 weeks of storage.  
 
MELON
20 mg/L of Natasan™ treated Hami Melons showed no growth increase for 6mm inoculum diameter of challenge tested A.Alternata fungal spots at 30°C for 96 hours as compared to control with a growth increase of 69mm colony diameter.
